Let them eat cake

Stuck for ideas for a valentine’s treat for your loved one? Why not bake a cake? There are valentine’s baking recipes for all tastes on the BBC Good Food website from Slice and Bake Biscuits to a rich Red Velvet Cake. If you want to show someone you care, what better way than to let them eat cake?

The post picture shows a Fiona Cairns Valentine’s Fairy Cake – golden sponge Fairy cakes topped with sweet fondant icing. They are available to order online from Fiona’s website or to buy from Waitrose supermarkets. Fiona was trained as a pastry chef and a graphic designer, which explains the look and taste of the deliciously designed treats.

Also see our post from yesterday for more ways of showing you care apart from “Let them eat cake” – we have some suggestions for Valentine’s Day on a budget in which we explore 10 ways to show you care for the cost constrained.
