In the same fashion there is much to see as March draws to an end. In particular, we have added the new Harry Callahan show and also Alys Tomlinson. Alys Tomlinson won photographer of the year at last year’s Sony World Photography Organisation Awards. That winning series is set to be published in a book as well as being on display now at HackelButy in South Kensington. The Harry Callahan exhibition, meanwhile, is on at Huxley-Parlour in Mayfair. As well as those two mentioned shows, there is the Martin Parr show at the National Portrait Gallery and Diane Arbus: In the Beginning. The Arbus exhibition is on at the Hayward Gallery on the South Bank. Also, Rose English: Form, Feminisms, Femininities continues at Richard Saltoun. Pop by 'n say hi!Photography Exhibitions London March 2019 Unquestionably, a must see this March is the new Martin Parr exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Another recently opened display is Rose English: Form, Feminisms, Femininities at Richard Saltoun. The Martin Parr show, Only Human, is a major exhibition for which Martin Parr explores his favourite subject, that is, People. More details further down the page on these photography exhibitions in London March 2019. In addition to those two new exhibitions, two other big shows continue. In brief, those are Diane Arbus: In the Beginning and Don McCullin. Diane Arbus is at the Hayward Gallery on the South Bank, while Don McCullin is at Tate Britain in Pimlico. There is another Don McCullin show running, this time in Mayfair, at Hamiltons. As well as those bigger exhibitions, Tom Lovelace at Flowers and Gerry Cranham at Michael Hoppen are also worth a visit. British artist – Lovelace – works at the intersection between photography, sculpture and also performance. Flowers present an interesting display of recent work exploring the boundaries between the permanent and ephemeral. Meanwhile legendary sports photographer, Gerry Cranham’s, exhibition continues at Michael Hoppen Gallery. Also from a British photographer, there is the This Empty World show at Waddington Custot. That display, featuring Nick Brandt work is open until 7th March. Diane Arbus: In the Beginning is still on at the Hayward Gallery. The latest exhibition, Don McCullin, is at Tate Britain while another opened last week at Hamiltons in Mayfair. Meanwhile in Soho, Hauser & Wirth present Zoe Leonard: Aerials. In detail, feminist artist Alexis Hunter is featured at Goldsmiths CCA in New Cross. Meanwhile at the Tate Modern, on the South Bank, there is Feminism and Media. At Somerset House, the free Charles Russell Speechlys Terrace Rooms Series continues.  The latest instalment features fashion photographers Hanna Moon and Joyce Ng.  Together they explore an impression on Western conceptions of beauty. Some Photography exhibitions in January 2019 are ending soon. Included in the list of displays coming to an end is Ansel Adams: Landscapes of the American West. That display at the Atlas gallery features some of the most recognised work from America’s most famous landscape photographer and environmentalist. Pop by 'n say hi!Photography Exhibitions London 2019 Following on from 2018, photography exhibitions London 2019 have a tough act to follow. That said, though, 2019 looks very promising. As well as the usual annual favourites such as Photo London and Photomonth, like in 2018, there is some fantastic choice. Cindy Sherman and Diane Arbus feature in major exhibitions. It is not just about international photographers though. There are important retrospectives from British photographers Martin Parr and Sir Don McCullin as well as new work from Jem Southam. There are displays of documentary and conceptual photography together with photojournalism and war photography. Not forgetting landscape photography nor anthropological work; the range of work to see in 2019 is huge. Diane Arbus work comes to the Hayward Gallery in May but that’s not before Martin Parr’s Only Human show at the National Portrait Gallery. As well as the Martin Parr exhibition, later in the year, you can see Cindy Sherman at the National Portrait Galley. There are two Sir Don McCullin exhibitions; at Tate Britain and Hamiltons Gallery.
