Durdle Door – Dorset Jurassic Coast

Durdle Door image featured in jfFrank online Escapes Gallery. Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. The Durdle name is derived from the Old English ‘thirl’ meaning bore or drill. Although this shingle beach is only accessible by a footpath up a steep hill from nearby, Lulworth Cove, the view from on a clear day is well worth the effort. Visit Dorset provide information on this and other Dorset beaches.
